The topics for this term are ‘Going for Goals’ and ‘Good to be Me’. We will be thinking about how to overcome frustrations and break things down into small steps. We will also look at ways to relax and talk about things we are good at.
We will be using iPads to play educational games and for computer programming. We will also continue to look at Internet safety.
We are focusing on the topic ‘Exploring Around the World’. We will be designing and making and vehicle with wheels and choosing suitable materials to make a pirate ship. In Geography we will be learning about hot and cold places and we will look at significant figures from history, such as the famous explorer, Captain Scott.
Homework will be given every Friday to be handed in by Wednesday of the following week. Spellings will be given on Friday and will be tested the following Friday.
Please read regularly at home with your child. Every Friday we have a celebration for the children that have managed to read 3 times or more at home that week. Well done to those families that did this last term, please keep up the hard work.
I hope that you find this information useful. Should you have any questions regarding your child’s education, please do not hesitate to contact me.
